![]() ![]() Students participating in applied music work closely with our instructors to develop a unique lesson plan that fits each individual's needs and skill level. The Department of Music offers support for students to continue taking lessons while studying abroad. Applied Music We offer both private and group lessons in instrument and voice, spanning several different styles of music. The fee is charged to the student’s accounts, and no refunds are made after the first lesson. If they elect to study a second instrument, those lessons are full price. Applied music lessons are available for all students, including non-majors, for a fee. Theory and History majors qualify for a 50% discount on instrumental or vocal lessons. Music performance majors qualify for a 100% discount on weekly one-hour applied music lessons on their primary instrument. Due to needing to sanitize rooms and allow for space and air circulation lesson locations may vary during the first few weeks while we work to meet everyone's scheduling needs and keep everyone safe. Instructors will email students their lesson times before their first lesson will take place. Time: A regular, weekly lesson time will be scheduled in accordance with available slots for both the instructor and student. Google Forms will be accepted until Thursday Jat NOON. Our music theory tutors will be able to help you unveil your inner musician by working with you and teaching you all you did not previously know. Lesson sign-ups for Summer 2023 are now OPEN.
